Girls Night
Tuesday, March 2, 2010
The hubs stayed at work late and went to his softball game tonight, so my baby and me decided to have a much needed girls night in.
I was just telling her that her baby brother is going to be born in 11 days! We can't wait to meet him in early April!
Can't you tell she's excited?
I got this fabulous magazine in the mail today and scoured it front to back, dog-earring page after page of gorgeous Easter decor!
I made this yummy recipe that is SO easy...and can be changed to fit any of your desires.
"Mixed up Cake"
1 package of your favorite cake mix
4 eggs
1 stick butter
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 and 1/2 blocks cream cheese
Mix together cake mix, 2 eggs, butter in one bowl--then pat down at the bottom of a 9x13 (it will be thick). In another bowl, mix 2 eggs, 2 cups sugar, vanilla, and cream cheese until fluffy. Plop on top and bake at 350 for 35 minutes, NO MORE! The cream cheese will be gooey and not set, relax and enjoy the runny gooeyness!
No, I did not grossly inhale homemade pancakes too...Oh wait, I did! Emily posted about these and I just couldn't pass them up. Plus, I made some to freeze so that when the hubs wants some he can defrost and eat them on the go.
Sometimes, you need a girls night to just relax and overindulge :) I'm off to bed early tonight with my mattress warmer on high (because men just don't understand that women are always cold).

It's always fun to have a girl night. Hope you two enjoyed it! And thanks for the Mixed Up Cake recipe. I'll have to try that sometime!
that cake looks so yummy! I can't wait to try it! I got the PB catalog too and am not surprised that the cherry blossom floral branch that I loved was $65 each. Gheessh. I did find some cute things for cheaper though!
I thought my hubby was the only one who never understands that I am always cold! HA:)
I did'nt know that you were getting a dog! How exciting. Are you getting a Cavalier?
money is an annoying issue. But pancakes, however, are cheap, wonderful, and always make me happy. Those looked delish.
