Frumpy Cabinet to Fun Cabinet!

As I said in a previous post, we craigslisted our old frumpy china cabinet to trade in for this beauty. I LOVE IT! It opens up the room so nicely with all the glass (even on the sides) and is nice and thin to allow for plenty of room. It also draws the eye up with its' height.

Obviously, I also love the red tone it has...since that is the color my house revolves around.

I went on a Michael's shopping spree and bought some pretty things to beautify it. Some I already had. This apothecary jar is filled with Springy fun. A little birdie sits next to him, on a pretty hand-stitched placemat (one of 8!) I got for Christmas from a parent.




Here is a gorgeous serving platter I got for our wedding, along with a crystal pitcher that has sentimental value to my hubby (the lions on it are the mascot to his college fraternity). And, of course, more birdies and spring flowers...



Here is a close up of my china and crystal all packed away! I love that I can pull out whatever I need in a pinch.



We are happy with our new purchase, especially since (because it was dropped upon delivery at the shop and has a crack you can hardly see) we got it for 25% of the price, and then when we sold our old cabinet we paid 50% off that price! Love when I get to "trade up".
