Spring is Coming

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

We have had absolutely BEAUTIFUL weather here the past few days...70s and breezy. We have been spending a lot of time on the patio :) Loving every minute!

I'm going to watch the hubs play softball with the church team tonight...so funny. They are all such little boys in big boy bodies! I swear, one home run and you would think they had won the world series. I have to admit, it makes my heart melt to watch him play his favorite sport...and he looks good doing it :).

With my swagbucks, I earned a subscription to the Southern Living Magazine. I am already in LOVE! The pictures and recipes are beautiful and delicious looking. Here are some of my favorites from the last issue.

Because we will be completely OVERHAULING our massive amount of weeds backyard this spring, all the flowers are definitely pulling at my heart strings and make me long for spring to come sooner.

I LOVE hydrangas and cannot wait to plant my potted ones.

And roses will be a must as I would love to cut them and bring them in all summer and fall!

This purple color is GORGEOUS!

We can't wait for April to get here so that we can start!

PSSST...I'm trying this "linked within" gadget...let me know if you had any issues--I haven't seen it work yet!

hydrangeas are my favorite. we had a MASSIVE one (or 2) at our old house, and I was oh-so tempted to bring in a tractor and dig that thing up when we moved! Lauren gets to enjoy it though, so at least someone I love got to have it! :)

Oh, wow! I long for 70 degree weather to return! We've had one of the coldest, most wet winters in a long time, spring just can't get here soon enough. Love your pretty flower pics. Roses are some of my favorites!

I love all of these flowers, especially the roses and the hydrangeas. I can't wait to see pictures of your backyard when you are done!

That is awesome that your husband plays softball. My boyfriend actually plays hockey. I also like to watch him play, as well as enjoy getting to know the wives/girlfriends of the other players on his team.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE hydrangeas! We have 4 planted in front of my daddy's house that people sent to the family at my mom's funeral. Precious.
I can't wait to see your flower transformation in the backyard!

I adore hydrangeas. I love flowers that are pretty in the yard and then in a vase inside. Your flowers just got me excited for some spring. Come on sunshine. come to mama

Hydrangeas are so beautiful, I love them!! Yay for spending a lot of time on the patio, I am ready to do that, but it's been cold in Houston! I'm so ready for spring!

I have two hydrangeas in my front garden spot. They are my FAVORITE too!

So funny, I love talking about flowers in February! My Hydrangeas did great last year - I hope that they come back as strong this year! They're my favorite thing to drive up to at night.

I also bring Annie hydrangeas when it is in bloom!!! :) Southern Living is my favorite! Annie and Devin got that subscription for me right after Adam and I got married so I would have something with Mrs. Lauren Whithurst!
