Home-made Fudge Sauce

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Ya'll I am a SUCKER for ice cream sundaes and after a hard day of work, I CRAVE vanilla ice cream with hot fudge sauce. Well, it's too expensive at the store, so I make my own! It makes enough for quite a while :)

Combine in a sauce pan:

2 tbs. butter
2 tbs. light corn syrup (KARO)
1 can evaporated milk
1/2 cup sugar

Bring to a boil and then let simmer for 3 minutes.

Take off the heat and add in:

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla

I store mine in a glass container in the fridge!

Girl, HOW do you stay so svelte and chic with all this scrumptious food you make? Oh, and I am now obsessed with the Pioneer Woman thanks to you.

I hope you are having a fabulous week!
