Night and Day

I have been wanting to paint our laundry room since the moment we moved in. But, when we moved in that room really wasn't a room...it was infested...with lizard poo and dead lizies. Honestly, my friend Ryan would NOT have bought the house JUST BECAUSE OF THE LIZARD ROOM! Anyway, we did buy it and paid someone else to clean it up and make it a room for us. Everything in there is new: tile, washer/dryer, and cabinets.

I love green, and our entire house including the kitchen, which the laundry room is off of, is green. So yesterday I started to tackle it.

I think it looks great next to those white cabinets.

Here is a little night/day shot--I still need to do that wall and I do NOT want to! How do you all get behind washer/dryers??

Side note: I have sworn off yellow for the rest of my life. The ENTIRE house was yellow when we moved in...I mean EVERY SINGLE ROOM! And not a pretty yellow either...

And even more...how to get behind a hot water heater? UGH! I am forcing asking the hubby to help me today with this wall--we'll see how that goes.

Wish me luck!

My least favorite part of painting is getting behind stuff like toilets, and washers. Ugh! Definitely enlist the hubs. ;)

You are so inspiring me!! I love the color you chose!! There is nothing better than a fresh coat of paint!!!

I love green as well (my bedroom is painted a nice sage green)! You might be able to pull the washer and dryer out to get behind them, but I have no idea how you can get behind the waterheater. Maybe get a smaller roller and attach a broom handle to it to get some length so you can reach behind there. Good luck! It looks great so far!

Hello, Mrs. Remodel! I too just posted some pic of my mini-kitchen remodel on my blog.....

If I were you...I would unhook my washer and dryer and move them out of the way totally. I think it would be worth it and it is easy to do.

I love the white cabinets and they look fab with the green! What brand & color is it?...
we went with Georgian Green Benjamin Moore... I like it... but now my family room does not go... I am ok with that... it was TOO dark once I painted it last year!! ha ha! I need to redo it... much to Mr. McFunny's dismay!! =)
we are going to pull out our fridge and stove today... to paint this weekend... I hope! after soccer, after dog walking, after I buy a new pair of shoes for myself and the little girl who visited my daughter yesterday... YES... bad Merlin!! I hope Clyde is not a chewer!! =)
